Wir haben in Deutschland Fußballrowdytum! Englische Fans verspotten die Gastgeber

What would a European soccer tournament be without a little hooliganism? Well, that’s what we got when a crowd of English fans in Germany went toe-to-toe with some of the host nation’s supporters on the street.

Germany lost to Spain 2-1 on Friday, eliminating the home nation from the UEFA Euro 2024 tournament. Meanwhile, Spain moves on to face France on Tuesday.

German fans were bumming pretty hard given that they had been hoping to watch their team win the tournament on home soil.

On what was already a tough day, a group of fans from England decided to make it even tougher for German supporters outside a bar called Steak-Haus in Alstadt.

„The England fans were taunting the Germans about them losing to Spain and then they started singing songs like ‚Have you ever seen the Germans win a war?’“ an onlooker told Daily Mail.

I mean… no they were winless in the 20th century, that’s just accurate.

But the truth hurts, and that’s when things got physical.

„There were about 20 English men who got involved in confronting a group of Germans and then a couple got involved in a punch-up.“

Luckily for those of us around the globe, there is a video of this „punch-up.“

Alright, now it’s officially a European soccer tournament…

What a grab bag of techniques that fight was. I think within about a second I saw a drink thrown, a punch thrown, and one Englishman just started trying to kick anyone who may or may not be German.

Just anarchy in the streets of Alstadt… for a few seconds and then things more or less settled down.

However, the English fans couldn’t help getting in a parting shot at their hosts. They started belting out „La Viva Espana.“

Police eventually arrived on the scene to keep the peace, but the English fans may not have too much more time to gloat. They’ll face Switzerland on Saturday, If they win, they’ll face the winner of the match between the Netherlands and Turkey.
